Clack&Go technology

Clack&Go technology was developed at the end of the 90’s, following studies carried out by Weissenfels engineers, aimed at creating a new generation of chains to improve the safety of motorists. Chains using normal tensioning systems in fact require a second stop for re-tensioning, sometimes in appalling conditions. The technology was patented and the tensioners, now in their third generation version, are the distinguishing feature of the top of the range products from Weissenfels, market leader in snow chains for cars. Their operation is very simple: the mechanism inside the tensioner, consisting of a system of sprockets, constantly takes up any slack in the chain while the vehicle is moving, until the chain is perfectly positioned. This means that drivers can fit the chains and confidently continue their journey without having to bother with any further adjustments. Clack&Go technology is currently applied to the following models: Clack&Go QUATTRO - the front mounting chain, for cars, Sport Utility Vehicles and Crossover; PRESTIGE, ATTIWA and UNIQA suitable also for new generation cars fitted with low-profile tyres.
